• AIFW AW18 9 Trending Prints From Amazon India Fashion Week A/W 2019

Fashion weeks are the greatest inspiration when it comes to revealing the designer streak we have inside of us. To go to our Masterji and tell him to make something that we spotted online is our favorite hobby. We pick what suits our style and give our wardrobe a fresh new look every new season.

Last week, the Amazon Fashion Week Autumn/Winter show surely had some promising new ideas for us to experiment with. We’ve made a list of the most amazing prints we spotted in womenswear, here have a look!

    1. Geometric Hypnotize at Kanika Goyal Label

    AIFW AW18

Taking inspiration from the French art movement, Kanika Goyal’s collection is inspired by
Tachisme – a form of art that is analogous to the American Abstract Expressionism. It explores striking color block techniques, brush strokes and geometric patterns in asymmetrical layered silhouettes.

    2. Island Beauty at Shivan & Narresh

    AIFW AW18

The exotic marriage of Japanese Edo Art with the beauty of Seychelles was revealed in Shivan & Narresh’s Edo Mer Series. The vivid hues and prints are inspiring us to take a summer vacay, right now!  From luxuriant blooms to scenic representation of the islands, every piece from the collection was like an artistic revelation in interesting forms.

    3. Tribal Switch at Aartivijay Gupta

    AIFW AW18

The show was a beautiful journey of Gond tribal art from Madhya Pradesh. The collection translated the traditional art into easy silhouettes and wearable styles with a hope to revive and grow the Gond art.

    4. Handmade Rapture at Sanskar by Sonam Dubal

    AIFW AW18

We are celebrating the rich heritage and artistry through handwoven fabrics and crafts in The Oracle collection. Combining the vintage arts with the contemporary silhouettes is what was evident on the ramp. The hand painted, mirror work in the smoothest silks were seen.

    5. Bunny Poses at Nida Mahmood

    AIFW AW18

The designer’s sartorial presentation of Bunny masks on the ramp clearly had a statement to make. This was the main feature of “The Chillum Sisters”, a collection that displays the art of Shibori, Tie and Dye fused with digital prints.

    6. Eloquent Street Style at Abraham and Thakore

    AIFW AW18

Their collection “Sadak Smart” corresponds with the street style one gets to witness in Delhi. Ranging from Juttis, Jackets, Hoodies to Ghaghras – every piece had a story strikingly in sync with the fashion elements seen on the streets in the city.

    7. Quirk Takes at Anupama Dayal

    AIFW AW18

Exploring her own version of Lucknow, in the Fida – e – Lucknow collection, designer Anupama gives life to the harmonious kite flying sessions along with merging it with traditional Chikankari art from the city.

    8. Coral Happiness at Pero by Aneeth Arora

    AIFW AW18

Stepping away from the usual blacks and monochromes, the play of corals and pinks with floral prints were a staple at the Pero show. These large prints make a great fashion statement this season in comfortable, loose dressing.

    9. Earthy Assemblage at Priyam Narayan

    AIFW AW18

Intricate prints in pastel earthy tones were a highlight at Priyam Narayan’ show. Inspired by Japanese philosophies the collection has an international appeal. Comfort styling and dressing was the key and flowy silhouettes a norm at the show.

So, here’s a round up of this, we’ll be back soon with a special Menswear blog!
